{"id":1565,"date":"2014-11-21T20:30:15","date_gmt":"2014-11-22T01:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caslabs.case.edu\/ansmet\/?p=1565"},"modified":"2014-11-22T09:03:47","modified_gmt":"2014-11-22T14:03:47","slug":"john-and-brian-are-in-mcmurdo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caslabs.case.edu\/ansmet\/2014\/11\/21\/john-and-brian-are-in-mcmurdo\/","title":{"rendered":"John and Brian are in McMurdo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just before dinner tonight John and Brian called me from McMurdo Station. \u00a0They report that they arrived in McMurdo\u00a0late on Wednesday after limited delays (just a few hours) in Christchurch. \u00a0Yesterday they experienced a gateway event\u00a0for all Antarctic Science groups, \u00a0the In-Brief. \u00a0 This is basically a very quick meeting between representatives of the science team and the various McMurdo-based support personnel, meeting and greeting each other to make sure they&#8217;re all in tune. Brian&#8217;s been getting trained on reporting the weather (something remote field camps have to do, and the meteorologists here and back home would like to trust them).
