{"id":1576,"date":"2014-11-24T12:22:21","date_gmt":"2014-11-24T17:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caslabs.case.edu\/ansmet\/?p=1576"},"modified":"2014-11-25T12:24:35","modified_gmt":"2014-11-25T17:24:35","slug":"how-the-team-is-preparing-for-the-trip-take-two","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caslabs.case.edu\/ansmet\/2014\/11\/24\/how-the-team-is-preparing-for-the-trip-take-two\/","title":{"rendered":"How the team is preparing for the trip- take two"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div><strong>Packing Challenges<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>With less than a week to go the realities of packing for the trip are setting in.\u00a0 For the past few months I have been collecting things that I think I might need or want.\u00a0 They have been collecting in a large pile in my spare bedroom.\u00a0 Now it is time to figure out if all the clothes and gear and equipment will fit in my duffle and suitcase. And, more important, if everything will be under the required weight limit.<\/div>\n<div>Unlike some on our team, this is my first trip to Antarctica.\u00a0 In spite of all the advice and packing lists I have been given, I am still feeling somewhat unsure if I am taking the right things.\u00a0 There are two schools of thought &#8211; be austere or be a little more extravagant.
