Our first step was to take a look at the local geology to get a sense of what kinds of rocks are &#8220;normal&#8221; for this part of the world. There are a lot of beautiful metamorphics here, with huge garnets and lovely folding. But of course, glaciers will pick up and carry rocks from along their routes, often providing a mixture of rock types that can sometimes look very meteoritic indeed. However, she couldn&#8217;t fool us&#8211;we were able to recover three meteorites from amongst the many impostor rocks. We arrived back at camp triumphant and ready for dinner.
