Our field people are the meteoritic equivalent of your elves, \u00a0gathering fantastic goodies that the planetary materials community can find in their stockings (providing they put in the correct requests, \u00a0wait a few months, and don&#8217;t actually put them in\u00a0stockings).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Assuming your discussion\/interpretations\/conclusions results in\u00a0&#8220;nice&#8221;, \u00a0I&#8217;d like to ask for the following for the field team.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Morgan, \u00a0 a full season, recovering\u00a0lots of colorful, sparkly and oddly-isotoped specimens.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Nina, \u00a0good connectivity, at least one salty, hydrously-altered sedimentary martian meteorite, and Shiny!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Brian, \u00a0that &#8220;guiding Trump up Denali&#8221; gig next April. \u00a0The bidding war for guiding him back down should be lucrative.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Con, \u00a0a strangely warm meteorite that smell suspiciously of sulfur. \u00a0Maybe with a label &#8220;Made on Amtor&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Ellen, \u00a0a specimen that&#8217;s just one big CAI\u00a0made up of concentric layers of condensates, with\u00a0a big interstellar grain\u00a0in the middle.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Cindy, a mistake in the 2016 NASA budget that funds lab and curatorial support in perpetuity at 0.1% GDP.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>-For Jim, a piece of amphibolite exactly the shape and size of a hockey puck.
