\u2018Twas the night before Christmas and all across the ice,<\/p>\n

Not a creature was stirring, not even the mice.<\/p>\n

The Poo Tent was occupied, and the flag planted with care,<\/p>\n

In hopes that a movement \u00a0soon would be there.<\/p>\n

The meteorite hunters were nestled all snug in their beds,<\/p>\n

While visions of achondrites danced in their heads.<\/p>\n

And Brian with his puffy and Jim drinking a Coke,<\/p>\n

Were sitting in their tent, telling dirty jokes.<\/p>\n

When out on the ice, there arose such a clatter,<\/p>\n

I sprang from my sleeping bag to see what was the matter.<\/p>\n

Away to the vestibule, I flew like a flash,<\/p>\n

Tore open the frozen zipper and threw up the sash.<\/p>\n

The sun on the breast of the new fallen snow,<\/p>\n

Gave the lustre of midday to space rock below.<\/p>\n

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,<\/p>\n

But an ancient skidoo that still drives far and near.<\/p>\n

With a little old driver so lively and fine,<\/p>\n

I knew in a moment it must be Johnny Alpine!<\/p>\n

More rapid than eagles, his hunters they came,<\/p>\n

And he whistled and he shouted and called them by name.<\/p>\n

Now Brian, now Ringo, now Paul, now Jim,<\/p>\n

On Elena, on Brian, on Ralph, and Sheridan.<\/p>\n

To the top of the nunatak, to the top of the wall<\/p>\n

Now hunt away, hunt away, hunt away all.<\/p>\n

Mounted on skidoos, the ANSMETers did fly,<\/p>\n

When they met with a sastrugi, they took to the sky.<\/p>\n

So from the moraine, the hunters they flew,<\/p>\n

With the skidoo full of meteorites, and Johnny Alpine too.<\/p>\n

And then in a twinkling I heard from afar,<\/p>\n

This meteorite is the biggest so far!<\/p>\n

As I drew in my head and turned around,<\/p>\n

I drove my skidoo to see what Paul had just found.<\/p>\n

His eyes- how they twinkled. His dimples how merry,<\/p>\n

His cheeks were like roses. His nose like a cherry.<\/p>\n

His droll little mouth was drawn up in a bow<\/p>\n

And the beard on his chin was coated in snow.<\/p>\n

And laying a finger aside from his nose,<\/p>\n

He pushed on his cheek, where the frostnip had rose.<\/p>\n

The team had all gathered to see this great find,<\/p>\n

Wow, oh wow, this is one of a kind!<\/p>\n

We spoke not a word, but went straight to our cause,<\/p>\n

Collecting the specimen, without even a pause.<\/p>\n

Johnny sprang to his skidoo, to his team gave a yell,<\/p>\n

Time to go back to the tents, it\u2019s as cold as hell!<\/p>\n

But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,<\/p>\n

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!<\/strong><\/h3>\n
