Is she just Ready for Adventure? \u00a0Ecstatic to see the pile of sack lunches? Knowing Minako, my guess is all three.<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p>For an old fart like me, \u00a0it&#8217;s amazing to get near-real-time updates. \u00a0 Two pics from Minako texted to me at the moment of departure (about 4:30 pm EST, 10:30 am CHC time)!<\/p>\n<p>As Dr. Righter reports, \u00a0their ride is the legendary Kiwi Herc. \u00a0Slow (about 7.5 hrs minimum), noisy (four big props tearing up the air), uncomfortably cramped (if you don&#8217;t have your knee in between someone else&#8217;s knees, you&#8217;re in first class), and utterly, utterly reliable. Imagine being with 6 of your friends and 50 strangers in a silo while a giant plays it like it&#8217;s a didgeridoo through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLWGkeA8LqHOmByGzvDVfXpR02_RYih_J1\">Philip Glass composition Music in 12 Parts<\/a> TWICE and that&#8217;s pretty close to the basic experience.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4345\" style=\"width: 760px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4345\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4345 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/artscimedia.case.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2023\/12\/06174041\/kiwi-herc-dec23.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4345\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Herc rides from CHC to MCM are an obvious exercise in cooperation- for those not in the club, be aware that there&#8217;s another equally-cramped row of seats to the right.
