For her senior capstone project, Tara collected survey data regarding recent SLP graduates’ self-perceived preparedness in working with transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals.
The results of this study were published this year in Teaching and Learning in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Co-authors include Molly Normandin (CWRU MA-SLP graduate ’23) and Dr. Mulheren. This publication also reviews educational resources and provides curricular suggestions for SLP graduate programs.
