Public Outreach in the Parkinson’s Community

This summer, the lab tabled at the Papa’s Path 24-hour walk, an event held annually to celebrate those with Parkinson’s disease, a nod to the physical strength it takes to adjust to and live with the unrelenting movements associated with Parkinson’s. People gather every year and walk with family, friends, and other members of the community, enjoying food, music, and activities provided by sponsors.

At our table, we shared information about our current projects to the walkers, including different resources for research and learning more about what we learn about communication and swallowing through our projects. A special thanks to Papa’s Path for having us!!
