After at least two weeks of waiting and biding our time, it all happened in a great rush and flurry, with things strewn all over building 155, but we made our shuttle, made our twin otter flight, and arrived at Elephant Moraine this afternoon! It is utterly beautiful, definitely colder than McMurdo, and we are so glad to be here. We’re just missing Jim and Alex-! Cross fingers they’ll join us tomorrow morn. We will already have a meteorite, found innocently near camp while chipping ice, to show them! Thanks for sticking with us to now, and get ready for more notes from the field. 🙂 Love, Jani, Minako, Johnny and Brian
