Happy 2017 from EET!

We are just an hour and a half shy of 2017, which is way ahead of most of you, so Happy New Year from the field! We had a fun and productive day of foot searching on the blue ice near camp, which you vets will know is pretty random – blue ice usually requires long distances on skidoo between meteorites. But we have ten marked already, so we’re hopeful for a good season here. This evening, we busted out some traditions, like Mexican food for New Year’s Eve dinner, and we even had a surprise visit from La Luchador del Hielo! Other traditions may be upheld before the night is out, but at least trust that 2017 is in view, and it looks exciting and hopeful! Love, Jani, Minako, John and Brian
