A new day tomorrow

Our pull-out got canceled today around 2:30pm. Weather conditions at Shackleton Glacier Camp were too treacherous to fly in and didn’t improve even though weather conditions here at Mt. Cecily are still splendid with crystal clear blue skies and no clouds. Barb and I have rolled out our sleeping pads and sleeping bags and pulled the stove into the tent. Finally some warmth. We decide to go “minimalist Johnny style” and leave all the rest packed and ready to go for as tomorrow is a new day on which we might get pulled out. We spent most of the day ready and have started swapping books with each other since we have depleted our own book sources by now. But with 4 people who all have different books we have reading material for a few more days, worst case scenario. Right now the wind has picked up a bit to about 5 knots but the temperature has dropped significantly. It is really cold. We are not sure what that means exactly for our potential pull-out tomorrow but it for sure means that I will go to sleep in all my layers tonight, including down pants and 2 pairs of socks. Off to bed, good night everyone and sweet dreams to you all.
