A quick programmatic note here-  as of late yesterday the field team is back in McMurdo!   Along with them came SIX pre-prepared blogs that I’ll be posting today.    The field team tried to send me these blogs by “Otternet”;  asking the pilots to deliver a thumb drive to a colleague in McMurdo who would then email them to me. The posts from that thumb drive got to me only an hour or two before the team got to McMurdo, and one of the first things they did upon arrival was email them to me again.   I’ll get them posted in order shortly.

If you notice more proofreading errors than usual,  forgive me-  I’d rather be a little careless and hustle these into your hands (or eyes).  I hope you enjoy them!
