Hi everyone. It's Minako. Today was exciting Sunday here. We had a special tour of Discovery Hut, built during the Discovery Expedition of 1901-1904. Now The hut has been designated a Historic Site or Monument.
Once you enter the hut, your nose get stung from strong animal smell. There is a century-old deal seal on the floor, filling strong smell inside the hut. There are boxes, cans, tools, clothes etc.. filled with historic items from early Antarctic Expedition. Really inspiring.
Well, we are planned to go to Elephant Moraine tomorrow morning. John, Brian, Jani and I will go with the first twin otter flight. Jim and Alex will follow. We are so ready!! We'll meet up at 6:30, start up our BIG day. Really hoping our next update is from our field!! Fingers crossed!!
