The field work described on these pages is just one of three components that are roped together to form the US Antarctic Meteorite program.  The non-field-work components include the initial curatorial and characterization work at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and longer-term curation and characterization at the Smithsonian Institution.

The Antarctic Meteorites group within the Astromaterials Branch at NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center hosts a very detailed curatorial site,  where you can find data on individual meteorites, instructions on how to request samples, PDF versions of the Antarctic Meteorite Newsletter,  Compendia of important classes of meteorites,  and much, much more.
