Kendall Steer, a second-year student in the masters program, received a Students Preparing for Academic-Research Careers (SPARC) Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association under the mentorship of Dr. Mulheren and Dr. Ciccia.  Kendall will use this award to learn methods for evaluating feeding and swallowing in children, conduct a research project on pediatric dysphagia, create educational content for students and caregivers, and attend the annual Dysphagia Research Society conference in 2026.
