About Us
Our research in the Neurodevelopment Research Lab is centered on examining behavior and cognition of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. Specifically, we are interested in understanding why people who have the same genetic developmental disorder have many of the same behavioral characteristics, why some characteristics vary within a genetic population, and what neurobiological mechanisms account for these behaviors.
Currently, we are conducting studies to assess the use of play-based interventions in children with Prader-Willi syndrome to increase interaction and social-emotional understanding. Additionally, we are interested in telehealth interventions and are in the process of developing an online parent-training platform for parents of children with Prader-Willi syndrome.
