The Longitudinal Effects of Pretend Play Intervention Study
What is involved?
The Neurodevelopment Research Lab is investigating the long-term effects of pretend play intervention on the development of social cognitive skills in children through young adults diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Our previous research has explored the short-term impact of pretend play intervention on preschool to school-age children with PWS. However, as our lab continues to develop and ameliorate intervention strategies, we must investigate the validity of these interventions over time.
If interested and eligible, participants will complete a brief virtual assessment with a researcher to evaluate various cognitive and behavioral skills. Parents will also complete several self-report questionnaires through an online platofrm regarding various aspects of their child’s social-cognitive functioning.
Who can participate?
We are looking for children through young adults (ages 8-20) diagnosed with PWS and their parent/primary caregiver to participate.
