Developing tough conjugated polymers for the next generation of flexible electronics

Check out our recent papers on using side chain engineering to create tough poly(3-alkylthiophene) conjugated polymers without compromising electrical properties: ester side chains and comparing dipole-dipole (ester) and hydrogen bond (hydroxyl) interactions. We have a new NSF grant exploring end group chemistry to optimize mechanical and electrical properties.

Alternative acceptors for organic solar cells

Check out our research on 3D non-fullerene acceptors based on Zn(II) complexes of azadipyrromethene – Our latest work shows how we can use solubilizing groups to improve properties of zinc(II) complexes and boron complexes of azadipyrromethene.
