The ACS Style Guide is a marvelous “must have” for any practicing chemist who ever has to write up their work.  CHEM 331 students are required to write reports in the ACS publication Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS) format, and must adhere to the ACS Style guide.  If you are on Case network or using VPN you can download the chapters.

The templates required for CHEM 331/431 reports can be found at the pubs.acs.org web site for the JACS here.

You are also required to use chemical drawing software for structure representation in this course.  While some free programs are “out there”, our university has licensed the ChemBioDraw Ultra which is free (one-year license).  Great news for our students at Case.
